What is the Presbyopia?

Productos Loring is known on the market as a leader in producing and selling Presbyopia Glasses, illness that describes the condition where the eye exhibits a progressively diminished ability to focus on near objects with age. Presbyopia's exact mechanisms are not known with certainty, however, the research evidence most strongly supports a loss of elasticity of the crystalline lens, although changes in the lens's curvature from continual growth and loss of power of the ciliary muscles (the muscles that bend and straighten the lens) have also been postulated as its cause.
Similar to grey hair and wrinkles, presbyopia is a symptom caused by the natural course of aging; the direct translation of the condition's name is "elder eye"[1]. The first symptoms (described below) are usually first noticed between the ages of 40-50.

How does it express?

There is some confusion in articles and even textbooks over how the focusing mechanism of the eye actually works. In the classic book, 'Eye and Brain' by Gregory, for example, the lens is said to be suspended by a membrane, the 'zonula', which holds it under tension. The tension is released, by contraction of the ciliary muscle, to allow the lens to fatten, for close vision. This would seem to imply that the ciliary muscle, which is outside the zonula must be circumferential, contracting like a sphincter, to slacken the tension of the zonula pulling outwards on the lens. This is consistent with the fact that our eyes seem to be in the 'relaxed' state when focusing at infinity, and also explains why no amount of effort seems to enable a myopic person to see further away. Many texts, though, describe the 'ciliary muscles' (which seem more likely to be just elastic ligaments and not under any form of nervous control) as pulling the lens taut in order to focus at close range. This has the counter-intuitive effect of steepening the lens valve cytokinesis centrally (increasing its power) and flattening peripherally

Is it dangerous the solar radiation?

The solar radiation is negatively affecting the ocular structure. This is the reason why we need to protect our vision, first of all from the Ultraviolet Radiation: U.V.A.

UVC: this type of radiation is the most harmful radiation four our health.

UVA: represents 90% from the total of UV which get to the Land. Even if they are very low in energy they have negative effects for our health.

The solar filters of the lenses of Loring Sunglasses, UV 400, are stopping the impact of these harmful radiations for the eyes, without modificating the colours and or the contrast.

According to the Europeans Norms, in function of each model, we commercialize our glasses with a Filter 3, which is protecting from a very strong solar luminosity and they are perfect to be used on the beach, mountains and also for children.

What kind of requirements must fulfil the sunglasses?

Properties:

UNE-EN ISO 1836/ UNE-EN ISO 14889 / UNE-EN ISO 8980-3-4):

-          They need to protect form the UV radiations.

-          They need to present fidelity of colour: not to change the recognizing of colours: red, green, yellow and blue.

More than that, all the sunglasses sold in the European Union need to follow by low an unique standard of security: they need to have the “CE” Mark.

In order to achieve the “CE” mark, the sunglasses need to pass some exhaustive test, which prove that they fulfil the highest expectations of quality.

Because we know that an adequate solar protection is the guarantee of the visual health for all of us, we developed models of sunglasses which obey all the laws in this field.

Besides of the quality and attractive price Loring Sunglasses offers, we are also worried for the innovation and image as we want to satisfy all the esthetical preferences. Our Sunglasses are created for all ages, from kids to adults.
